Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Organization Dmitry Polyanskiy has condemned the US assassination of Iranian top military commander saying it was a flagrant breach of international law.

Iran Press/Iran News:  "#SoleimaniAssassination by the #US is a flagrant breach of intl law no matter what are motivations behind it," he tweeted slamming the US crime in killing of Lt. General Qasem Soleimani, commander of Quds Force of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iraq last Friday.

Joining worldwide condemnation of the US move of assassinating Soleimani who was a top-ranking counter-terrorism commander and his Iranian and Iraqi companions, the Russian diplomat rejected the US adventurism based on baseless allegations.

"Even if so-called 'rules based intl order' allows such crimes. We reject such line of action alongside with all other moves based on 'highly-likely' unproven claims #Iran," he wrote in his Twitter account.

Iran has promised to severely revenge the loss of Soleimani and his companions.
