The Special Assistant to the Majlis Speaker in International Affairs, Amir Abdollahian

The Special Assistant to the Majlis Speaker in International Affairs emphasized the important position of Japan in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran News: In a meeting with a group of Japanese university students and members of the Japan Sasakawa Peace Foundation in Tehran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian pointed to the 90th anniversary of Iran-Japan relations, saying that the two countries have great potential to expand bilateral cooperation.

Amir Abdollahian blamed the conflicts in West Asia and parts of Latin America and Asia on the US military and political interventions to access the world's vast energy resources and mines, adding: "Unfortunately, in the West Asia region, few Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia, have incorrect policies, playing a negative role in regional developments."

He also pointed to the destructive behaviors of the Zionist Regime of Israel in the region, saying: "Iran has registered in the United Nations a democratic solution based on a referendum among genuine Palestinian people, both Jewish, Christian, and Muslim."

Commenting on Iran-Saudi relations, Amir Abdollahian stated that Tehran has always welcomed constructive and neighborly relations with Saudi Arabia and believes that Saudi Arabia has no other way but to return to Iran. 104/207
