The chairman of the Yemeni Supreme Council of the Revolution Mohammad Ali al-Houthi estimated that Saudi Arabia spends $ 60 billion annually in the fight against the Yemenis.

Iran PressMiddle East: "Thus, how much Saudi Arabia has spent for almost five years to devastate Yemen, siege it and keep the Yemeni people hungry, a country that only needs two billion dollars a year to pay its employees," tweeted Mohammad Ali al-Houthi.

Al-Houthi, without naming the Arab-led coalition states, said, "16 countries are involved in the war against the Yemenis but it is unclear how much the cost of the war will be and who is the winner and who is the loser."

The American Thinker had earlier said that Saudi Arabia has spent $ 200 million daily to hire mercenaries and to supply military weapons.

From mid-July 2015 to September 2018, Saudi Arabia carried out 39,700 military operations in Yemen, killing 91,600 people, the institution said.

The Saudi-led military aggression has also plagued the poor Yemeni nation with severe food and drug shortages.
