Nigerian sources said elements of the terrorist group Boko Haram attacked the town of Magumeri in the eastern province of Borneo, killing at least 15 people.

Iran Press/Africa: Usman Zannah, a member of the Nigerian National Assembly from Borneo, confirmed the attack, saying elements of the Boko Haram terrorist group attacked the town of Magumeri with 11 vehicles on Saturday 14th December.

The attack killed eight local militias, 6 residents, and a security officer, Usman Zannah said.

The Boko Haram terrorist group seized weapons in 2009 in northern Nigeria and expanded its attacks on Niger, Chad and northern Cameroon.

Boko Haram has killed more than 20,000 people in Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, and Chad and displaced more than two million people.

The inability of regional governments, especially Nigeria, to counter this group has prolonged the war against the terrorist group Boko Haram.
