Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari

Commander of Iran's Army Ground Forces announced the self-sufficiency of the Islamic Republic in the field of drone technology.

Iran Press/Iran news: Commander of Iran's Army Ground Forces Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari said on Sunday that the Iranian Armed Forces are increasingly equipping and developing drones and now they have achieved self-sufficiency in this field.

Brigadier General noted the transformative programs that have been implemented in the Iranian army, adding: "All units of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces have been transformed in line with the observation of threats."

On Aug. 31, 2016, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei addressed the Minister, officials, researchers and experts of the Ministry of Defense of Iran, stating that increasing defensive and offensive capabilities are Iran’s inalienable right.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his address added: "In a world where bullying and imperialists powers rule; having the least morality, conscience, humanity and no scruples about transgressing against countries and killing innocent people; developing defensive and offensive industries is completely natural because security will not be achieved as long as these powers do not feel the power of the country,"
