A group of people gathered outside the Turkish Embassy in Tehran in protest against Ankara's military operation in northern Syria.

Iran Press/Iran News: The protest held on Saturday evening to show international support for Kurds in Syria and to denounce Turkey's ongoing military operations in the north of the country.

Activists held signs urging no violence against civilians in the region, Iran Press reported.

Turkish troops made an incursion into northern Syria on Wednesday after US president Donald Trump ordered American troops out of the area.

As the offensive the Turks are calling "Operation Peace Spring" continues for a third day, tens of thousands of civilians are fleeing border villages in search of safety. 101/211
