French envoy, Iran labour minister, US politics

The French envoy in Tehran in a Meeting with Iran's labour minister, Mohammad Shariatmadari said that France does not follow US politics against Iran.

Iran Press/ Iran News: "The French government is certainly not in favour of the US decision, and we did not pursue the maximum American pressure at all, so we do not support it," said French envoy, Philippe Thiebaud. 

According to Iran Press, he also said: "In the case of INSTEX, as it is a long and complex project, we are determined to launch it." 

"We have said since the very beginning that US politics is terrible and Trump's policies will have very damaging effects. In this regard, we try to continue a series of mechanisms and processes of dialogue between Iran and European countries," French envoy emphasized.

The French envoy in Tehran also said: "There are certainly broad areas of cooperation. We are also aware that French pharmaceutical companies are active in Iran and are cooperating with Iranian pharmaceutical companies."

In the meeting, Iran's Labour Minister and Social Welfare, Mohammad Shariatmadari also stressed about France's role in the matter, saying that the Iranian people expect France to intervene even more.

"The expectation of the Iranian nation, of course, was more than European countries did," he said.
