Iran Press/ Iran news: Attending a press conference, Saeed Rasouli responded to Iran Press question regarding Iran-Europe railway through Turkey and said that negotiations began last year with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Turkey, and fortunately were concluded in a very short time, and an agreement was signed between the five countries at a meeting in Ankara.
"Part of cargos is transported to Europe via Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Turkey, and one of its benefits is the agreed price between five countries," he added.
"Another advantage of this agreement is the removal of problems such as rail freezing because the route is entirely railway," Rasouli noted.
"Although the coronavirus outbreak closed the border, the Razi border opened quickly and Turkmen border reopened last month," he noted.
He also referred to the efficiency of the railway network and freight transportation by connecting major centers to this network and said that 16 locomotives and 9 freight wagons have joined this network. 207/209
