Mazandaran (IP) - The governor of Mazandaran, Iran, Seyyed Mahmoud Hosseini-Poor, said at a meeting with members of China National Energy Company that the two sides will be signing a memorandum of cooperation in the near future.

Iran PressIran news: The aim is to expand and strengthen communication and interaction between the two countries beyond energy issues.

During the meeting in Sari on Tuesday evening, Governor Hossein-poor highlighted agriculture, knowledge-based agricultural products and citrus, drainage of agricultural land, water resource management, and development of electricity infrastructure as focal points for bilateral cooperation.

"In the next month, the Chinese ambassador will be present in Mazandaran province and a memorandum of cooperation will be signed with China National Energy Company," said Governor Hosseini Poor.

The move is expected to further enhance cooperation between China and Iran in the energy sector.
