Pres. Rouhani:

Tehran (IP) – Iran's president says his US counterpart is betraying the votes of the American people by not implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Hassan Rouhani referred to the victims of the 1987 chemical bombardment in the imposed war, calling on Iran's political and legal institutions to do their utmost efforts to file a complaint in the international community.

He underlined that Iran had never sought and would never seek to acquire nuclear and microbial weapons.

Referring to the economic war against Iran, he stated: "Today, the Iranian people are still resisting another terrorism, and in the last three and a half years, we have entered into an economic war; Trump's act against Iran was more than a war since war has a framework, and no one fights patients suffering from cancer and the elderly."

He said Trump's successors are continuing his crimes, noting that they are the perpetrators of the previous administration.

He said the Zionists had been against the JCPOA, stressing that the United States withdrew from the deal and waged an economic war against Iran.

"The result of the Iranian nation's resistance was that when the new administration in the United States wanted to take office, he said in its election campaign that Trump was wrong to exert maximum pressure on Iran; the American people voted for the new US administration with the same idea. Consequently, if Biden does not implement the JCPOA, he has betrayed the vote of his own nation," Rouhani concluded.
