The President of Azerbaijan stated that if Armenia withdraws from the Nagorno-Karabakh region, its country will cease military activity in this region.

Iran PressAsia: Azerbaijan will stop military action in Karabakh, if Armenian forces withdraw from the region completely and unconditionally, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting with injured servicemen in a hospital in Baku.

Ilham Aliyev continued his speech by pointing out that the clashes are still going on in the Karabakh region, adding: "The Republic of Azerbaijan is restoring its territorial integrity and the country has the right to do so."

Clashes between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces began in the Nagorno-Karabakh region on Sunday morning, and a number of forces on both sides have been killed and wounded so far. These conflicts continue until now.

The conflict between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia began in 1988 turning into a military conflict in 1991 and has once again intensified with the intervention of some foreign countries.
