A six day meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Association of Southeast Asian Nations begins in Singapore today, to discuss regional and trans-regional issues and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

The ASEAN Foreign Ministers will discuss both ongoing and future cooperation, as well as engage their counterparts at the various meetings on key regional and international developments and the evolving regional architecture.

Meanwhile, Iran has said it will also join the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif would soon visit Singapore to sign the document.
