Srinagar (IP) - Shia Muslims in Indian-controlled Kashmir held a ceremony on Friday at Dal Lake in Srinagar to commemorate Ashura and keep the tradition alive.

Iran PressAsia: According to Iran Press, mourners gathered in the Rainawari and took part in the traditional procession of Ashura day by boat on Dal Lake.During an interview with a correspondent from Iran Press, one of the mourners stated that the ceremony goes back more than 180 years.
