Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Ministers of Iran and France engaged in a phone conversation to discuss the latest developments in nuclear negotiations, regional issues, and the unjust sanctions imposed by European countries.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a phone conversation with Jean-Noël Barrot, France’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, strongly criticized the unjust and provocative actions of European countries in imposing new sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Araghchi vehemently denounced the decision of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom to introduce a resolution at the meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors. He underscored that this move by the three European nations starkly contradicts the positive atmosphere fostered in Iran's engagements with the Agency, and will only further complicate the situation.

He also addressed regional developments, highlighting the ongoing aggressive attacks by the Israeli regime against Lebanon and the continued genocide in Gaza. He emphasized the responsibility of the supporters of the occupying regime in perpetuating these atrocities and called for serious action from all relevant parties to compel the Israeli aggressor to cease its hostilities in Lebanon and Gaza.
