Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met Song Tao, the head of International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran news:  In the meeting between the two senior officials all aspects of the friendly relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and China, were discussed  Iran Press reported.

Reminding the importance of meetings between the presidents of Iran and China in recent years, Zarif and Tao also discussed new developments of the international community, including the unilateral approach of the US in violating international laws and regulations.

The two diplomats also exchanged views on the main regional and global issues of concern.

The head of International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) recently travelled to Iran to meet with top Iranian officials.

In his previous meetings with Iranian officials, he expressed his gratitude on Iran’s stances and support for China in its trade war with the US and stressed his country's determination to expand its relations with Iran and pursue strategic long term ties.
