Iran Press/America: According to Iran Press News from Caracas, thousands of social activists fighting against authoritarian governments—commonly referred to as anti-fascists—from dozens of countries have gathered in Caracas. This gathering comes at the threshold of the inauguration of Venezuela's new president, emphasizing the ongoing fight against colonialism and imperialism.
A social activist from Cuba states, "Fascism and colonialism existed before, and it still does. Only its form has changed. Today, U.S. fascism can be easily seen in many countries.”
Another participant from Colombia points out, "Although U.S. colonialism still exists, it can no longer easily exert dominance or plunder the wealth of other countries, especially those in Latin America."
At this international meeting, the Vice President of Venezuela condemned the U.S. and Israel for their role in the genocide of Palestinian and Lebanese women and children. She stated, "Israel has committed horrific crimes in Palestine and Lebanon, but resistance continues with strength."
Delcy Rodríguez also referred to the centuries of dominance and exploitation of Latin American countries by the United States, adding, "The unity of the peoples serves as a strong barrier against the greed of imperialists, especially the U.S."
