Hamed Esmaeilion is closely related to the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) terrorist group with his anti-Iranian activities, including the request to sanction Iran and prevent the entry of medicines needed by sick children, signing a campaign to expel Iranian ambassadors, and trying to prevent the participation of the Iranian football team in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Iran PressCommentary: Before the incident on flight 752 of the Ukrainian plane, which led to the loss of his wife and his daughter, Hamed Esmaeilion was known as a writer.

On January 8, 2020, a Ukrainian plane crashed in the suburb of Tehran, killing 167 passengers and 9 crew members.

Most of the passengers of the plane, including the wife and son of Hamed Esmaeilion, and the other 32 passengers, were also from Canada, Afghanistan, Ukraine, England, and Sweden.

These days, Hamed Esmaeilion's activities have intensified, and his connection with the Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) or Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) has been revealed, a connection that is not for today and yesterday and shows the close friendship of the author with the MKO.

After the funeral of his wife and daughter, Esmaeilion left Iran and spread propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran and also gave interviews to hostile media, such as Iran International TV network, and his connection with MKO has been significantly revealed.

One of Esmaeilion's main advisers is Canadian politician Irwin Cotler, who has a track record of working in the "United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI)."

In addition to lobbying with Israel and the Canadian government, and the militant group UANI, Cotler was once a lawyer for MKO and was also present at the group's base in Albania.

Recently, along with Kaveh Shahrouz, a lawyer, Esmaeilion launched a campaign to expel Iranian diplomats from international organizations and some countries. A campaign that, according to UANI policy director Jason Brodsky, aims to isolate Iran and put more pressure on the country.

Meanwhile, Irwin Cotler and Kaveh Shahrouz have also collaborated and published an article in the Globe and Mail in 2013 entitled "Six ways Canada can help the Iranian people."
