Iran Press/ Iran news: In a statement released on Tuesday, October 7, 2024, the ministry highlighted the seventy-six years of Palestinian land occupation and the violation of fundamental rights, emphasizing that these actions have deeply affected the spirit of the Islamic community and free people around the world, leading to persistent challenges to regional peace and stability.
The statement condemned the apartheid policies of the Zionist regime, which have been supported by Western powers, particularly the United States. It described the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, executed by the Palestinian resistance on October 7, 2023, as a historic uprising against eight decades of oppression and genocide.
The ministry reported that the past year has seen the continuation of mass killings and organized terrorism against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as against the Lebanese population.
It also noted that the Israeli regime has become increasingly reviled globally, with calls for the prosecution of its leaders for international crimes, including genocide.
Despite significant losses, including the deaths of over 50,000 people in Gaza, the statement reaffirmed the resilience of the Palestinian resistance, noting that the struggle for liberation continues with renewed determination.
It underscored that the fight against occupation is a global movement, transcending national borders. Iran's Foreign Ministry reiterated its support for the Palestinian cause and urged solidarity among Islamic and Arab nations to confront the ongoing aggression of the Zionist regime.
The statement called for an immediate halt to the regime's violent actions and emphasized the importance of cooperation in safeguarding the rights of the Palestinian people, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Monday, October 7, was the first anniversary of the unique Operation Al-Aqsa Flood carried out by the Hamas Palestinian resistance movement in response to the regime's more than 7 decades of invading Palestine.
The leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei called the Israeli failure against the operation an "irreparable defeat."
