Abuja (IP) - In Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, members of the Islamic Movement on Saturday commemorated the fourth year of martyrdom of the former Iran's IRGC Quds Forces commander, Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani and his Iraqi comrade, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis whom the United States assassinated at Baghdad International Airport in Iraq on January 3rd, 2020.

The university senior lecturer in his speech said the entire life of Iran's anti-terror commander Soleimani was service to humanity towards ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East, giving examples of how he used military strategies that destroyed the American mission of destabilizing Islamic countries such as Iraq, Syria and Lebanon by using Daesh terrorists.

The second speech at the commemoration was given by Mr. Imran Bukare, an activist from the Republic of Niger with the topic "Struggle for liberation and true independence in Africa: Lessons from the life of Qassem Soleimani."

Imran Bukhari tried to make it clear to freedom fighters of Africa how to imitate martyr Soleimani in endurance, sacrifice, and total submission to God if they wanted to achieve their goal of liberation of the continent from Western imperialism.

In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, one of the participants, Sajida Mujahid said: "Today, we are remembering and commemorating the martyrdom of our hero, Qassem Soleimani, who raised the resistance against the oppressors of the world."

During his lifetime, Sajida Mujahid added that Qassem Soleimani had taught people of different countries how to confront oppressors. "He helped the people of Afghanistan to face oppressors, and so also the people of Iraq and the oppressed people of Palestine. Qassem Soleimani had helped them on how to face the Israeli oppressive regime and confront them successfully."
