Iran Press/ Iran News: There are 44 universities from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 2022 Islamic World Science Citation Center ranking by subject, where four universities from Isfahan, including Isfahan University of Technology, Kashan, and Isfahan Medical Sciences, are the most prominent.
Universities have been ranked into six categories: natural sciences, engineering and technology, medicine and health, agricultural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
According to Ahmad Fazelzadeh, the head of the Islamic World Science and Citation Center, after nearly a decade of conducting national rankings of universities, according to experiences in this field and being known as the only ranking authority in the country, for the first time, the scale of the world's universities has been done by the subject. Pointing to nearly a decade of ranking universities, Ahmad Fazelzadeh, President of the Regional Information Center for Science and Technology and ISC, stated:" For the first time, the ranking of the world's universities has been done by subject."
Isfahan province is the second university province of the country, with about 200 thousand students, seven thousand faculty members, and 180 universities and higher education institutions.
