Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 36 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 140,240.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings, to March 1, 2022, a total number of 7,164,484 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,877,834 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 2,264 cases, of whom 306 were hospitalized.

1,633 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 49,478,466 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 24 cities are red, 68 are orange, 306 are yellow, and 50 are in blue zones.

So far, 63,929,778 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 56,900,178 have received the second dose, 26,234,961 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 147,064,897 doses.
