Iran Press/Asia: Iran's First Vice President, Eshaq Jahangiri delivering a speech at the meeting on Saturday morning, will elaborate on Iran's stances regarding international and regional issues.
Meeting with officials from some participating countries is on Jahangiri's schedule during his two-day stay in Uzbekistan, Iran Press reported.
Visiting monuments in the historic city of Samarkand is the final part of Jahangiri's two-day trip to Uzbekistan.
The ministers of Roads and Urban Development and Industry, Mine and Trade and Deputy Foreign Minister in Political Affairs are accompanying the First Vice President in Uzbekistan.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental organization established in 2001 by China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan for multilateral security, economic and cultural cooperation. Various countries have observer status within the organization such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and Belarus. 101/211/207
