Tehran (IP)- Reacting to the attack on the American forces in Jordan, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said that we have repeatedly warned America about expanding the war, due to the continued attacks of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people.

Iran Press/Iran news: US officials reported on Sunday that American troops were killed and at least two dozen of the forces were injured during a drone attack on a US post in Jordan.

"Since the beginning of the war in Gaza, the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly warned about the danger of expanding the conflict in the region due to the continued attacks of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and the all-out support of the United States for the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank," Nasser Kanaani posted on X.

Kanaani also considers the repeated violation of the national sovereignty of Iraq and Syria by the American forces and the bombings and attacks against the groups and people of Iraq, Syria, and Yemen as intensifying this cycle of instability.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that war is not the solution to the crisis in Gaza and that an immediate cease-fire and an end to the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza can pave the way for the return of peace in the region.

In response to requests from Iran to prevent attacks by resistance groups in the region, the spokesperson added: "Resistance groups in the region do not take orders from the Islamic Republic, and Tehran is not involved in their decisions.Kanaani stressed that repeating baseless accusations against Iran is a projection and also a conspiracy of those who see their interests in pushing the US into a new war in the region and intensifying the crisis to cover up their failures."

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Iran is vigilantly monitoring developments in the region and the responsibility for the consequences of provocative accusations against the country lies with those who make such baseless claims.
