Iran Press/ Iran news: In an interview with Iran Press, the Head of International Interactions of the Audio-Visual Media Regulatory Organization Mohammad-Baqer Asghari-Aghamashhadi, stated: "After removing applications such as Aparat, Filimo, and Rubika from Iranian users, Satra which stands for Audio and Video Regulatory Authority in Persian, wrote to Google and related organizations in the United States to pursue legal action.
"In the sent letters, Google and related organizations have been asked to explain about the omitting of Iranian applications in the Google Play Store because such procedures is against the foundations of technological development for the world's people," he added.
"The officials of the Audio and Video Media Regulatory Organization will try to restore the rights of Iranian users," he underlined.
Asghari highlighted that despite the unavailability of Iranian applications in the Google Play Store, Iranian platforms such as 'Bazaar' could meet the needs of Iranians.
"In addition to Iranians, Persian-speaking people around the world also use Iranian platforms such as 'Bazaar'; of course, platforms like the 'Bazaar' should move toward updating to have something to say in global technology," he explained.
"The relevant officials in the Audio-Visual Media Regulatory Organization of Iran will try to resolve the issue," he concluded.
