Iran Press/Iran news: Ra'is Ali Delvari (1915-1982) was a freedom-fighter and the leader of the uprising against British occupiers in southern Iran in Tangestan and Bushehr, who struggled against the invasion of  British troops in World War I to the south of Iran.

At the beginning of World War I in 1914, Russian forces from the north and British forces from the south invaded Iran, and British warships anchored in Bushehr. They faced the resistance of local heroes heading by Ra'is Ali.

The Tangistanis, led by Ra'is Ali Delvari, inflicted deadly blows on the British in their attacks, in one of which Rais Ali killed two high-ranking British officers along with eleven Indian soldiers.
