Iran Press/Iran news: Addressing a huge crowd of Friday prayers worshippers and the faithful, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi emphasized that Western powers used science and technology to exploit poor under-developed countries, Iran Press reported.
Science equipped the West to exploit under-developed nations
He pointedly said: "It is science which has equipped the Western world to exploit and plunder under-developed nations. It is time our young people took the weapon of science into their own hands, and push aside Western exploiters and plunderers."
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hojjat-ol-Islam Sedighi congratulated all Muslims on the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Mohammad Bagher (peace be upon him), the fifth infallible successor to the Holy Prophet of Islam, Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny). He also congratulated Muslims for the arrival of the blessed month of Rajab.
Islamic Revolution's objectives unchanged since the beginning
Tehran's interim Friday prayers leader added: "The Islamic Revolution is a divine Revolution maintained by pure hearts. The slogans of other revolutions changed with the passage of time, for example, the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, and the Algerian Revolution. But the slogans of the Islamic Revolution of Iran have remained unchanged since the very beginning. The Islamic Revolution is continuing its path of progress."
Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi went on to praise the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's statement to the youth on the occasion of the start of the 5th decade of the Islamic Revolution and said the statement should be appreciated.
Delivering his second Friday prayers sermon in Tehran University campus, Hojjat-ol-Islam Sedighi said the Leader's statement provides the audience with a general picture of Iranian religious establishment, which is 40 years old, and it clears up many ambiguities.
