Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking on Wednesday evening at the session of Development and Elites of Gilan Province, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani described undermining the trust between the people and the authorities as the main goal of the enemies, adding, what the Government of the United States is doing to the people of Iran is above sanctions and crime against the humanity.
Rouhani added that during the war and animosity of the enemies, people and the branches of the government have to stand by each other and if the enemies succeed in sowing discord among us, they have won, Iran Press reported.
He also went on to say, the noble people of Gilan have always backed the Revolution.
The world is facing a group in the US who consider violating international obligations an honor, Rouhani continued.
He added: "At the beginning of the nuclear negotiations I told Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that my red line was exiting Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter and the cancellation of Security Council resolutions."
Exiting Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter without a single one of them being implemented is unprecedented in history, continued Rouhani.
Rouhani also said that the President of France said it explicitly that in 2013, the five countries were unanimous in having a war with Iran.
Stating that people's large turnout in 2013 elections saved the country from the threat of war, he continued, the government is not able to solve all problems of the country alone.
"We need people's presence in politics, culture and economy, said Rouhani, adding, being concerned and criticizing the government is OK, but don't make people hopeless about future, because it is what the enemy wants."
Iranian President noted that our main aim during sanctions is supplying basic goods with reasonable price.
"I hope that people show full trust in all authorities, especially in the administrative power," continued the President.
Iranian President arrived in Rasht, capital city of northern province of Gilan on Wednesday morning.
