Iran Press/Iran news: "Iran's enemies have not achieved and will never achieve their goals against the country," Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said during a speech on Wednesday among people of Lahijan city in Gilan Province.
Despite the hard times which is due to Iran's enemies' acts against the country, Iranian people showed their resistance in fight with the enemies' plots, Iran Press reported.
Iran's President said: “During economic war, the country needs a single commander; I suggested to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to be the commander, but he said it is the President who has to be the commander of this war.”
Rouhani referred to the consecutive failures of the enemies against the great, united people of Iran, and said: “The people of Iran achieved great victories in this historic test.”
“They wanted 1397 to be the year of the defeat of the Iranian nation, but the people stood up to their sanctions,” continued Rouhani.

He also described Feb 11 as the day of bravery and the symbol of resistance of the people against the enemies, saying, “They were trying to incite us to violate our obligations, so that the world would follow them in imposing sanctions, but they failed in both steps.”
“The United States’ withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was a violation of rules and regulations, standing against the United Nations and the world,” he said.
The President also said, “In the Security Council, all 14 countries objected the President of the United States.”
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also continued, “They wanted to unite the world against Iran in Warsaw, but they failed.” 101/201
