Tehran (IP) - A member of Iran's parliament economic commission said that Iran can turn US sanctions to opportunity with the use of other resources in its economic structure.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday on the sidelines of the parliament open session, Mohammad Raza Pourebrahimi, a member of Iran's parliament economic commission said that other economic resources like tourism and industry could be used instead of oil in the county's economic structure.

Referring to the situation Iran faced with by US sanctions, Pourebrahimi said that great opportunities could be created for the country out of the exploitaion of other resources in the budget structure as well as economic structure of the country, reported Iran Press.

This trend, he continued, could be embedded in a new structure named ministry and becomes a basis for the country's macro-level decisions in economy.

Noting that the recent actions in the area determined the path, the member of Iran's parliament economic commission said that compared with 1396, the year of 1397 the amount of income resulted from the tourism industry was approximately doubled.

"According to figures, around $12.5 billion currency resources entered Iran. That means that actions of this type could be substituted for oil income within a few years" Pourebrahimi elaborated, "and this is the basis of our move; an income-generation which is not finished, but expands and leads to inclusive employment."  203/215
