Tehran (IP)- Iranian Majlis (parliament) gave a vote of confidence to President Rouhani's ministerial picks, Ali Asghar Mounesan, and Mohsen Haji Mirzaie.

Iran Press/Iran news: Parliamentarians gave a vote of confidence to Ali Asghar Mounesan. A total of 255 MPs voted, 163 MPs voted in favour of Mounesan, 87 voted against and there were 5 MPs who abstained from the vote. Thus Mounesan comfortably secured a vote of confidence and will now head the new Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism.   

The other nominee, Mohsen Haji Mirzaie also secured a vote of confidence in the Majlis. A total of 255 MPs voted, 200 voted in favour of Haji Mirzaie, 48 voted against him, and 7 MPs abstained from the vote. Mohsen Haji Mirzaie will now head the Ministry of Education.
