Iran's ambassador to Denmark, Morteza Moradian said Tuesday that the Danish ambassador Danny Annan will return to Tehran tomorrow.

Iran Press: Morteza Moradian said Fars News Agency that he had met with Danny Annan, who was recalled after the Danish intelligence chief Finn Borch Andersen accused Iran of a failed ‘assassination attempt’ in his country at the end of October. Iran has strongly rejected Denmark's allegations.

“Today (20 November), I had a brief talk with the Danish ambassador to Tehran Danny Annan and he told me that he will return to Tehran tomorrow,” ambassador Moradian said.

He added “I hope that through the efforts of both countries the problems will be resolved.”

Meanwhile, the Associated Press has just reported that Denmark is sending its ambassador back to Tehran.

According to the Associated Press, foreign minister Anders Samuelsen had confirmed the ambassador Danny Annan is returning to Iran “to intensify diplomacy and coordinate closely with our European partners.” Samuelsen said on Tuesday the European Union had ‘a renewed discussion’ about ‘common steps against Iran.’ He did not elaborate further.

On October 30, the spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry Bahram Ghasemi has forthrightly rejected accusations by Danish officials who had claimed Iranian agents were behind an attempted assassination of an Iranian dissident in Denmark. 103
