Iran PressEurope: The British representative at the meeting of the Human Rights Council called on Iran to respect human rights and freedom of expression in the country.

Referring to some of Britain's inhumane actions, Mohammad Ahani Amineh, the Counselor of Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva, said in response to the British representative's: "It is better for London to respond to gross human rights violations in its own country instead of accusing others."

The 45th  session of the Human Rights Council began on Monday in Geneva and will last for four weeks.

The Iranian diplomat in Geneva reminded some British inhumane rights actions, such as sending deadly weapons to infamous countries in the region, that have led to the killing of innocent people in Yemen and Palestine, fully support the Zionist regime as the world's biggest human rights violator and support dictators and called them the only part of Britain's black record on the human rights issues."

"Iranians have not forgotten the 1953 coup yet," Ahani Amineh concluded.
