Iran Press/ Middle East: Zionist settlers, with the support of the Israeli military, took part in a so-called flag march in the old part of Al-Quds on Sunday evening, where they encountered resistance and reaction from Palestinians, especially Palestinian youths and women.
Abdul Latif al-Qanoo, the spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said the march of the Zionist settlers' flag would not give the occupying Israeli regime any control over the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In addition to the widespread installation of the Palestinian flag in various parts of Al-Quds, the Palestinian youths raised the Palestinian flag during the so-called flag march. At the same time as the Palestinians took action, the Israeli military clashed with Palestinian youths.
Israeli occupying forces clashed with Palestinian youths south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, injuring and arresting hundreds of Palestinians. The Israeli military also brutally beat Palestinian women around the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Ismail Haniyeh, Head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said Sunday night that the Zionist movements in Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque could not be ignored and that the Palestinian resistance would continue its way until the termination of the Zionist occupation regime.
