Iran Press/ Middle East: By destroying the houses of Palestinians and building new illegal settlements, the Zionist regime is trying to change the geographical structure of the Palestinian areas and give these areas a Zionist face to consolidate its dominance in the Palestinian areas.
According to the official Syrian news agency (SANA) on Friday, "Amir Davoud," the head of the resistance committee against the Zionist regime's settlements, said:
2022 was very difficult for the Palestinians because the Zionist occupation regime demolished 850 houses and commercial, industrial, and agricultural facilities in the West Bank. It has destroyed the west bank of the Jordan River, displaced hundreds of families, or deprived them of their sources of livelihood.
Amir Davoud added that the operation includes destroying Palestinian houses in southern Al-Khalil and the villages of the Jordan Valley, Nablus, and Salfit.
The person in charge of the resistance committee against the Zionist settlement constructions said that the Zionist occupiers have also warned to demolish another 1,150 houses in the West Bank.
Davoud also clarified that in occupied Al-Quds and in line with the plans of the Quds occupying regime to Judaize this city, the occupying bulldozers destroyed 211 residential houses and structures belonging to Palestinians in the settlements of Selvan, Yesiya, and Beit Hanina.
The head of the resistance committee stated that the occupying regime threatened to destroy 22,000 residential houses belonging to Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem, which means the destruction of one-third of the houses in this city.
According to Palestinian institutions, about 666,000 settlers live in 145 large settlements and 140 residential complexes in the West Bank, including Eastern Al-Quds.
The United Nations and the UN Security Council previously declared any construction in the occupied Palestinian territories illegal.
