Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met Germany's former foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel on Sunday afternoon.
At the meeting, the two men discussed a variety of issues including expansion of bilateral ties between Tehran and Berlin, regional developments as well as the nuclear agreement JCPOA, focusing on European efforts to set up a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to facilitate trade with Iran.

The necessity of accelerating European efforts to set up an independent financial channel with Iran, was also among the topics discussed. Sigmar Gabriel has come to Iran, accompanied by a high-ranking political and economic delegation, including chairmen and chief executives of top German companies, and leading German industrialists and businessmen.
Zarif also had another meeting on Sunday with Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). During the meeting Zarif stressed the necessity of expanding cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). 203/103
