Iran Press/Iran news: Saeed Khatibzadeh, in response to reporters' questions about Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's letter to EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell, said: "To explain the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the developments related to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Minister of Foreign Affairs sent a letter to Josep Borrell, on March 12, 2020."
He added: "Of course, Zarif has sent several other letters to Borrell and also Federica Mogherini about JCPOA previously, and this letter was also related to them."
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Zarif's letter to Borrell clarified the Islamic Republic of Iran's position and did not contain any plans, adding: "Iran's letter to the European Union's foreign policy chief and coordinator of JCPOA, states that if the United States intends to correct its wrongdoing in violation of JCPOA and the imposition of sanctions, the first necessary step is to return to full commitment as the wrongdoer."
The media reported yesterday the Iranian Foreign Minister sent a letter to the EU foreign policy chief. Zarif criticized the positions of the new US administration and the European member states of the JCPOA.
