Iran Press/ Iran news: The 38th Fajr International Music Festival opened in Tehran on February 17. The capital hosts over 30 musical bands from across the country.
Seven concert halls in Tehran as well as over 30 other arenas in 14 provinces are hosting this year’s event.
Five Azeri traditional and three Azeri pop music groups performed their works at the festival. The works were performed with Azeri poems either in groups or individually, which were welcomed by the audience.
' Komuz' and 'Balaban' musical instruments were among the ones used by Zanjani Ashiqs in the festival.
Azeri traditional musicians are called Ashiqs; Komuz also is an old instrument in authentic Iranian music, which the Ashiq transmit its notes to the next generations.
