Iran Press/ Asia: According to the emergency ministry of Armenia, the fires started at a firework market and led to at least two strong explosions.
Photos and videos posted on social media showed a thick column of black smoke over the market as successive explosions could be heard.
The emergency ministry said at least 45 people were injured in the blasts.
Firefighters were struggling to contain the blaze as fireworks continued detonating,.
