The World Health Organization member states agreed to grant equal membership rights to Palestine in this international organization.

Iran PressEurope:  For the first time in the history of World Health Organization meetings, the seat of Palestine was granted to Palestine in alphabetical order amid the cheers of the representatives of the countries present at the closing of the 77th World Health Assembly.

At the closing session of the 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva, on the evening of Saturday, June 1, the member states of the World Health Organization agreed with the majority of votes to grant equal membership rights to Palestine.

The Permanent Mission of Iran to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva has hailed aligning the participation of Palestine in the WHO with its participation in the UN as "a historic decision".

Mohamed Muizzu has welcomed the decision to grant Palestine membership in the World Health Organisation (WHO) with its status in the United Nations (UN) and expand Palestinian rights.
