Iran Press/ Iran news: Chief of the IRGC Baghiatallah Cultural and Social base, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency on the sidelines of the 5th anti-imperialism round table discussion held at Tehran University on Monday said: "The best way to counter the US is to not let it achieve its objectives".
"The path that America has chosen is evil and the US is working for its own interests, thus the Islamic Revolution acts against all US approaches," Major General Jafari told Iran Press correspondent.
The US does not want us to be independent but we are, the US also doesn't want us to have missile technology but we must maintain this technology and develop it further, Chief of the IRGC Baghiatallah cultural and social base said.
He added: "We have to protect and develop our defensive capabilities, our science, and technology".
"There were some claims about Iran's nuclear program that were not true. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has ruled out the development of atomic weapons [based on Islamic Sharia Law], and Western claims about Iran's nuclear energy program are untrue. The nuclear talks [before the signing of JCPOA] revealed that the true intention of the enemy was something else, they wanted to stop us from having any sort of nuclear technology whatsoever," the former IRGC commander stressed.
"We have to counter the enemy and press ahead with our advancements in all of these fields," he stated.
