Iran Press/ West Asia: The First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber visited the 8th International Exhibition on Pharmaceutical and Related Industries (IranPharma 2023) at the Mosque of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Tehran.
Accompanied by the Minister of Health and Medical Education, the vice president visited the Grand Mosalla of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Tehran on Thursday.
Various domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies, associations, and syndicates attended the exhibition.
Iranian officials got acquainted with the challenges, concerns, and shortcomings of the companies in the exhibition.
Iran's Mokhber Emphasized the self-sufficiency of the country in the drug supply.
He pointed to the sufficient infrastructure in the field of medicine for the further development of the medicine industry.
Elsewhere, the Iranian top official stressed the availability of sufficient technical knowledge of the country in the field of medicine supply to compete in the international arena.
Cost reduction and price control are fundamental factors in the market, according to his perspective.
Mokhber addressed the pharmaceutical companies to pay attention to cost control.
Increasing productivity and upgrading technology along with supplying vital drugs were suggested by him as the solutions to ease the procedure for patients.
The exhibition commenced on September 27th and is presently ongoing until September 29th.
The exhibition aims at developing technological cooperation in the pharmaceutical field, transferring the capacities and capabilities of the pharmaceutical industry, building networks, creating export markets, and creating investment opportunities in innovative pharmaceutical fields.
