Iran's Judiciary Chief:
US should be prosecuted over the assassination of Gen. Soleimani

Baghdad (IP) - The Head of Iran's Judiciary has said that if the US is not persecuted for the assassination of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, it dares commit similar crimes not only in Iraq but also in different parts of the world.

Iran PressMiddle East: In a meeting with Iraq's Chairman of Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zidan on Tuesday, Ebrahim Raisi appreciated the Iraqi Judiciary over the prosecution of the US case in the assassination of the Resistance commanders and issuance the order of Trump's arrest. 

Raisi pointed out that the judges and lawyers' society believe that one of the significant ways for preventing a crime to be repeated, is the punishment of the convicts. 

"The Americans must know that they have violated the sovereignty of an independent country and committed state terrorism which is an unforgivable crime," the Iranian judiciary chief warned.

He referred to the remarks of the Leader of the Islamic revolution on the decline of tyrants, saying: "We believe in the Leader's remarks that the tyrants are declining and we are well sensing the signs of that thanks to the bless of General Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and other martyrs".
