Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at Mehrabad Airport on Friday upon arrival from New York, President Hassan Rouhani said that we showed the world that the Americans themselves are that major obstacle to any negotiations.
"The US is an obstacle against negotiation and the one who doesn't want negotiation is the US not Iran but Iran does not negotiate under sanctions," Rouhani noted.
Rouhani wrapped up his four-day trip to New York participating at the 74th United Nations General Assembly session and arrived at Tehran's Mehrabad airport.

"The US is the one who does not want the problems to be resolved. Otherwise, Iran will never escape the negotiation because of its logic and reasoning," Iranian President added.
"They had openly said that we would lift the whole sanctions, but the framework was unacceptable because while we are facing sanctions, in a poisonous atmosphere and maximum pressure no one could tell us that what would be the prediction of the outcome of the negotiations even under the p5+1 framework," Rouhani continued.
"One of the issues raised in New York was that all the problems were related to the stubbornness of the Iranian side and that the US was ready to negotiate and insists on negotiating, and even US officials have told all European and non-European leaders that we are ready to negotiate," he said.
"We have told European leaders that if there is a free and fair atmosphere we are ready to negotiate," the Iranian senior official stressed.
"When the European leaders asked me when we are ready to go back to negotiations I told them when you lift this poisonous atmosphere, we will get ready to negotiate in an hour," Rouhani added.
Third step in reducing JCPOA-related commitments
Referring to the third step in reducing JCPOA-related commitments as one of the issues raised on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the President noted that some said the third step and the launch of modern centrifuges is to move toward nuclear weapons but Iran made it clear that anyone who wants to move to nuclear weapons reduces surveillance and limits broad surveillance.
"Iran has not reduced its monitoring and only reduced the limitations of its nuclear activities, and this was one of the issues that had to be explained," he noted.
Escalating tensions in the region by the US
President elsewhere underlined that the plot for warmongering and escalating tension in the region by the United States, Saudi Arabia, and some other countries was diminished by the responses of Iranian delegations to state officials, politicians, and the media.
"In the case of Aramco, we felt that there was a negative atmosphere against Iran between politicians, diplomats, and the media, but the Iranian delegation responded with clear and sufficient answers to the public and media questions," Rouhani added.
"Even at a meeting with the leaders of some of the countries that made statements against us, I asked what was your evidence." They said our experts say, we said then send your proof even we wait in Tehran, but they had no answer," he stressed.
"At meetings, I said that you are aware of the power of Yemeni enemies because you are helping them and giving them weapons, but you are not aware of the Yemeni army's ability and we reminded them that your accusation means chaos and sedition in the region," the President concluded.
