Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at the committee's session discussing human rights in Iran on Wednesday, Mohmmad Hassani Nejad said the US and sponsors of resolutions against Iran are misusing the UN and its agencies as a means to put Iranians under pressure.
The people of Iran have always been endeavoring to protect their human rights principles against the economic warfare of the US, he added.
The US economic terrorism has deprived the people of Iran of their rights of food, education, health, and life and has deliberately and ruthlessly threatened the children suffering from cancer and genetic deceases and the lives of patients, said the Iranian representative at the UN.
He said that the US and its shameless allies are sponsors of the human rights resolution against Iran and use it under the policy of maximum pressure on Iranians.
The anti-Iran resolution which was sponsored by Canada and supported by the US was passed by a weak majority vote.
Hassan Nejad referred to the relationship of the US and its allies with terrorist and extremist groups across the world and urged the UN member states not to provide them with the opportunity to use the human rights as a weapon against Iran.
