Iran Press/America: In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Majid Takht-Ravanchi said that the United States is the one side which withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), adding: "The Biden administration has stated on several occasions that the United States will join the nuclear deal, but so far no change has been seen in US policy towards JCPOA."
Stating that the negotiation should have a plan and agenda, Takht-Ravanchi said: "In our view, the United States should implement its commitments under Security Council Resolution 2231, so far, the United States continues to violate UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in response to whether the easing of sanctions could be part of a return to a meaningful agreement said: "Clearly, sanctions were part of this agreement and should have been lifted so that Iran could fully comply with its obligations."

Regarding the decrease in the number of the International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors, Takht-Ravanchi said: "It is not true that Iran has fired the inspectors of the IAEA, we decided not to implement the Additional Protocol, however at the same time we are a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations said: "An agreement has been reached between Iran and the IAEA that would be implemented within the next three months. If the sanctions are lifted within the next three months, we will follow the agreement reached with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Tehran."
Referring to the US withdrawal from JCPOA, Takht-Ravanchi said: "now there is a 4 + 1 group, where meetings are held within this group, If the United States wants to join the group, it must adhere to its commitments, lift sanctions against Iran." 219
