Iran Press/ Iran news: Unveiling ceremony of the latest achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy was held with top military brass including the top commander of the Iranian Army, Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi and top commander of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi attending.
At the ceremony, three new achievements of Iran's Naval Forces were unveiled under the headings: on-rotary three-dimensional guided missile system, known as 'Eagle Eye', Optimized Fire Control System Samen 2, False Target System of Torpedo and Pelican UAV.
The non-rotating 3D guidance system, known as the 'Eagle Eye', is designed to detect and intercept more than 100 surface-to-air targets and transfer their information to missile and artillery systems installed on warships.
The optimized 'Samen 2' fire control system, which is used in combat vessels, first detects the enemy's targets from afar and then transmits the received information to a warship's weapon systems.
The False Target System of Torpedo also has the ability to simulate all the features produced by submarines in torpedo test launches.
The Pelikan UAV is also the first drone designed and manufactured in Iran to detect and identify maritime targets with the ability to land and takeoff automatically on navy vessels.
The information received by the UAV is used in intelligence gathering of Iranian warships on patrol in the High Seas, such as in the Gulf of Aden.
