Iran Press/Iran news: Ali Rabiei said in a press conference on Monday: "Iran has been very transparent about Coronavirus case, and citizens' health is a top priority for the government."
"After dealing with the coronavirus, we will improve the health of the Iranian population," he added.
The Spokesman noted: "Like other epidemic diseases, the coronavirus is a global threat. More than 60 countries have been affected. Iran was one of the most transparent countries to declare the disease and used all its capacity to provide services to its people."
Ali Rabiei emphasized Iran did not sacrifice the health of its citizens for economic gain.
"We quickly regained control after the initial shock. In responding to this phenomenon, the government has fulfilled its duty to protect the citizens, and what is our top priority is the life of citizens. By the public partnership, we will succeed to defeat the virus." said the Spokesman.
He said protective decisions were taken to ease the pressure on the people and detailed information will be released, adding that health insurance was obliged to cover the costs of treating citizens infected with the virus.
Removing the ban on imports and removing commercial profits and imposing export restrictions are other measures the government has decided on, dealing with the virus.
The Qom University of Medical Sciences also announced that so far, 140 people have been infected with coronavirus in Qom province, of which more than 80 COVID-19 patients have been recovered.
