US (IP) - The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) warns about the eminent catastrophe threatening over 20,000 infants in the Gaza Strip.

Iran Press/America: UNICEF described in a statement the conditions of Gazan hospitals, including Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, announcing that the oxygen generators in the hospital are to be out of service.

The statement warned that over 20,000 babies are in danger of death due to the lack of fuel in the Gaza Strip.

The US-backed Israeli unprecedented genocide of the Palestinian people began on October 7, as the result of which over 35,800 people have so far been martyred. Israel says it seeks to destroy the Hamas resistance movement.

The crisis is going on in the strip as the Israeli regime continues the war on Gaza and exacerbates the conditions by blocking Rafah's passage.

The chief of the hospital said that the amount of fuel imported is one-fifth of what the hospital needs, that is the hospital needs 50,000 liters of fuel in the coming hours to deal with the health disaster.

The Israeli troops and fighter jets have so far targeted 33 hospitals, 55 medical centers, and 160 medical institutes as well as 130 relief vehicles.

Besides being martyred and wounded, the Gazans are struggling with famine and starvation created due to the war.

The Israeli regime says that it seeks to destroy the Hamas resistance movement, yet it has gained nothing but the massacre of only over 15,200 children. 204
