Iran Press/ Asia: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu said that his country is opposed to the UAE's efforts to disintegrate Yemen and create sedition in African countries.
The UAE is taking part in the Saudi-led aggression war against Yemen.
The Turkish Foreign Minister further pointed to the role of the UAE in Libya, saying: "If Libya's territorial integrity is compromised, all countries around it, including Egypt or Tunisia, will be negatively affected.
On November 27, 2019, Turkey signed two memorandums of understanding on security cooperation and demarcation of the maritime borders with the Libyan Government of National Accord in order to explore and extract energy resources in the Mediterranean Sea.
The move has drawn negative reactions from Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, and Khalifa Haftar, commander of the Libyan National Army.
Libya has been plagued by violence and political instability since the 2011 revolution, which led to the overthrow of the late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, with the intervention of the United States and some European countries and the region.
For the past five years, Libya has had two parliaments (the Tobruk parliament in the east and the parliament in Tripoli, the Libyan capital) and two armies due to differences between parties and groups.
The parliament of Tobruk is supported by the Libyan National Army under the command of Khalifa Haftar, and Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez al-Sarraj is based in Tripoli.
