Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, the top commander of Iran's security forces, General Hussein Ashtari, has emphasized that all enemy plots and conspiracies will be neutralized as we approach the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution, given the vigilance and professionalism of the security forces, and the alertness of the Iranian nation.
General Ashtari made the comment on Tuesday at a gathering of top security officials in Golestan province in northern Iran. He emphasized that all those who threaten Iran's security will be dealt with appropriately by Police and security forces.
During the second day of his trip to Golestan province, General Ashtari took part in press conference on Tuesday, and he also visited Iran's border with Turkmenistan. General Ashtari also emphasized that more equipment and facilities will be installed along Iran's borders, including optical and defence equipment, to bolster security and protect against intrusions.
Commenting on activities of anti-revolutionaries, General Ashtari said occasional activities by anti-revolutionaries from time to time, does not mean that the nation is insecure. He added: "We will identify these anti-revolutionary elements, and deal with them decisively."
Turning to the kidnapped Iranian border guards in Mirjaveh in south eastern Iran, General Ashtari said our diplomats and senior military and security officials are following up on the fate of the abducted border guards, and the Pakistani government has made some promises which we hope will materialize soon.
On October 15, Fourteen border guard forces were abducted by terrorists in Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan border with Pakistan.
Pakistan-based Jeish al-Adl terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the abductions. 211/103
